Welcome to Friendship Baptist
Our focus at Friendship Baptist Church is not on your outward appearance but on our heart relationship with Jesus. We are coming to God as we are which means you can find our members wearing casual clothing such as sport coats and dresses as well as blue jeans and casual shirts. At Friendship Baptist Church you will find a family that welcomes you no matter how you are dressed.
Our A, B, C’s
A. Admit to God that you have sinned and disobeyed Him. Romans 3:23 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from every wrong.” I John 1:9
B. Believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins and that he rose again, and is alive today. “They took him down from the cross and placed him in a tomb. But God raised him from the dead! Through this man Jesus there is forgiveness for your sins. Everyone who believes in him is declared right with God.” (Acts 13:29, 30, 38, 39) “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name (Jesus) by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)
C. Confess Jesus as your Savior and Lord. Salvation is a free gift of God, free for the asking. Don’t try to earn it, because you can’t! “If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified , and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10) “For it is by grace you are saved, through faith–and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9)
